Operating Engineer
Operating Engineers operate, assemble and maintain the power equipment used in road building and the construction of dams, pipelines,
utilities and levees. Local 115 of the Operating Engineers also represents people working in a variety of other trades in heavy construction,
aviation, fabrication, dredging, industrial equipment, manufacturing, mechanical repair, mining, transportation and waste management.
Apprenticeship—Local 115 owns and manages a registered training facility in Maple Ridge, B.C. and is the provincial apprenticeship
training institute for all mobile crane apprentices in the province.
